Special Guest: Sonya Atalay, PhD, Anishinaabe-Ojibwe, Anthropologist, Archaeologist, Educator, Author.
Sonya Atalay is a public anthropologist and archaeologist who studies Indigenous science protocols and practices and Indigenous
research methodologies carried out with and for Indigenous communities. Dr. Atalay is the Director of the Center for Braiding Indigenous Knowledges and Science (CBIKS), a newly established NSF Science and Technology Center. She teaches at UMASS Amherst and MIT.

and Special Guest: Paulette Steeves, PhD, Cree-Métis, Decolonizer Archaeologist, Anthropologist, Educator, Author. A Professor in Geography, Geology, and Land Stewardship at Algoma University, Dr. Steeves was awarded a five-year Canada Research
Chair Tier II in Healing and Reconciliation 2019-2024 and 2024-2029. Dr. Steeves’s primary research focuses on the Western Hemisphere's
Indigenous Paleolithic and healing and reconciliation. Her book the Indigenous Paleolithic of the Western Hemisphere was published
in July 2021 and was awarded an American Library Association Choice 2022 Outstanding Academic Title award.
